BP’s public image is tanking, its stock is plunging, and at least one oil insider is predicting bankruptcy for the century-old energy giant. But it wasn’t always this way. Take a look at BP’s storied past, with reporting by Fortune.com, as the company grows from a couple derricks to the oil giant it is today.

BP Before the Fall

I think it’ll be dangerous, timing, if BP goes under but i think they need to and deserve it. Needs to happen to show the other Energy giants we’re fed up with their garbage and destructive ways. We know we can’t get off oil tomorrow, but they need to be legitimately leading the way to getting us off oil and make the capturing of oil a safer process for the environment.
